    Default Major Problem .....

    I’m having a major problem

When I as the owner of the server and my reseller create new accounts they aren’t automatically propagated to the domain.

I have to manually go and restart BIND and APACHE and then the domains propagated.
    WHY IS THIS?

This is a headache and I can run a business like this!

What can I do to make it automatically propagated as it should?

"When I as the owner of the server and my reseller create new accounts they aren’t automatically propagated to the domain."

You mean the changes don't take effect? They should do, I've seen no other reports of this.

    Try /scripts/fixnamed and /scripts/fixndc

I'mm 99% sure the account create gracefully restarts apache at the end, so you shouldn't need to restart apache. Make sure you're not just seeing generic dns errors or caching.

No caching, and no generic dns error. Its just not restrating?

    I tried Try /scripts/fixnamed and /scripts/fixndc - same thing.

    Wink

Seems to have been a rigourous amount of quality testing done on this cpanel 9 series before being released I do not know that much about the whole thing but the impression I get is..

    1. there is not enough testing done
    2. there is not enough people working at cpanel
    3. someone must be making serious money (bigtime) at the expense of all the mugs (that is you guys out there lol) that have to fix the problems as they happen lol
    4. lets just have one version that works properly
    5. nobody gives a monkeys about all these daft new features anyway so lets not rush to release them every other day hehe.

I reckon cpanel think people will be annoyed if 25 new features per week do not happen. I could not care less if it stays the same as it is now forever..as long as the thing works propely.

All that being said, we need solutions to these problems now. Will someone please read this forum who works at Cpanel and provide a fix as soon as possible.

I'm not trying to be rude here, but this is a show-stopper problem, as we can't preemptively guess when people are going to add subdomains and restart apache/bind.

This apache/bind non-restart thing seems to be the worst problem for me and my clients. However, I'm sure theres a few other problems with this build.

    Default URGENT: Bind NOT restarting

my host has this problem now.

If I as a reseller make changes to any of the DNS for my domains nothing happens.

My host tried blagging me saying that it was a propagation issue. God I hate itr when hosts can't tell the truth.

Now they say they are on to cpannel to fix it. More crap I expect.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet. I live in hope.

if you are not using clustering I have found getting dns to update automatically is a crap shoot at best. If you will enable dns clustering for all the name servers and set them to syncronize changes I have not had any problems with the dns reloading when an account is created or modified
