    Default Mas dedicated IP allocation

    Hello!

We have recently completed work on our own little datacenter and we are now in the process of migrating all our servers in house.

The problem we are facing now is in regards to dedicated IP distribution. We want to give accounts that have a certain hosting plan a dedicated ip. It doesn't matter if its during transfer or immediately after.

I noticed that there is some functionality built in already, but i was not able to find any filter that would allow us to discriminate between packages.

Is there any way (script or option in WHM) to easily allocate a dedicated IP to all accounts with the same package or a single account (regardless of package)?

    Regards,
    Gabriel

During the process of copying multiple accounts from another server, you will see a screen listing the accounts on the server that you may wish to transfer. You can filter this list of accounts by package, and next to each account, check a box to assign that account a dedicated IP address on the server as part of the transfer process.

    Thank you for your reply!

I must be missing something. At the "Copy multiple accounts/packages from another server" screen i have a listing of all packages on the remote server, and further down a listing of all users, user owner, domain and disk space used. The only 2 filters i see are for selecting users belonging to a certain reseller account or users matching input you give in a small text box.

The "Dedicated IP" checkbox is great, but i was unable to find the filter you mentioned.

    Regards,
    Gabriel

It's been a while since I used that screen. If there's a filter, it's likely to be off to the right-side or at the bottom of the screen.

Worst case scenario, you can go to the List Accounts page on the source server, filter accounts by package there and use that as a guide for which accounts need to be assigned dedicated IPs on your server. However, this is not as convenient.

    Thank you for your time!

We will give it a shot with WHM, but its painstaking to go through several thousand accounts one at a time, if we can't find a convenient way to do this.

Worst case, we will try to create a script to do all the grunt work...if tests go as planed.

Again, thank you for all your help!

    Regards,
    Gabriel
