Is the MBOX used in the default cpanel installation?

Been trying to figure out why my emails aren't working in the new server for hours... then it's because the new system is still running mbox

that is pretty strange. All of my new server installations of cPanel have been Courier/Maildir.

Not strange. Cpanel is using Courier/Maildir format from the last few months onwards
