Question Missing setting MX pointed on Edit DNS page

    Hi,
Suddenly noticed on one "just updated" server that on Edit DNS page we are missing our regular 4 options for setting mail preference (Local / Remote / Backup / Auto). Have this been removed or moved to another place? It was so comfortable to have it there, where it was!

    Regards,
    Anton.

    Hello Anton,

The option to change the MX settings does still exist in WHM > DNS Functions > Edit DNS Zone area for any domain that is properly owned and working. If the domain isn't working properly or ownership isn't detected, then those options appear to be missing for the domain and you'll see something similar to the following in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log location:

    [2011-04-22 15:53:48 -0500] warn [zoneeditor] User file '/var/cpanel/users/root' is empty or non-existent. at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Config/LoadCpUserFile.pm line 106

As such, can you try running this command when attempting to edit the zone for whatever domain wasn't showing the 4 MX options at the bottom of the WHM > DNS Functions > Edit DNS Zone area?

    Code:
    tail -fn0 /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
    Thanks!
