    Default Mod rewrite not being used by apache

    Good day everyone,

    I'd like to use mod_rewrite on my server. However, every time I try to build apache through WHM with checked "Rewrite Module", and run /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -l, mod_rewrite is not on the list. Did I miss anything or is there a way to find out why it's not working?

    Thanks,

    Bobbi

    Default

    It's not compiled into the httpd binary, it's an addon module:

    grep mod_rewrite /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

    should give you:

    LoadModule rewrite_module libexec/mod_rewrite.so
    AddModule mod_rewrite.c

    plus a load of containers:

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
