Default Mod Security Plugin after 11.25 Upgrade

We recently upgraded to 11.25-R42399. At this time we also upgraded PHP to 5.3.1, Apache remained at 2.2.14. Since this upgrade the Mod Security plugin within the WHM has not worked properly.

Clicking on the 'Mod Security' link under the 'Plugins' menu simply displays this message:

Click here for important information about mod_security versions and rules
Normally you would get an interface to search blocked requests or modify rules. This is no longer the case.

I have also noticed that however Mod Security log data was being written to the 'modsec' database is also broken. The last entry in this database is from just before the upgrade took place. I know that Mod Security has blocked requests since then because you can see them in the audit log as well as the Apache logs.

So, in short Mod Security is still functioning, but it's integration with the WHM seems to be broken. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Case 554014 currently open with cPanel Support.

Looks like somehow the password used by the modsecparse.pl script and the MySQL modsec user did not match. I'm not quite sure how the passwords were changed on either side, but resetting it corrected the issue.

Another forum thread discusses this issue where the passwords aren't matching:

If you have questions, please post them to that thread. The post I've linked to does indicate precisely how to reset the password to match, which was not provided in this current thread.
