mod_security2 - how to disable it via .htaccess ?
SecFilterEngine Off in .htaccess as in mod_security v1. lead to Error 500.
Any ideas ? Apache2+mod_sec2 has been compiled via EA3.

I have same issue.
It looks like support for .htaccess files was discontinued in mod_security2:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp....rity.user/3065
The only way I found so far is putting SecRuleEngine Off in <VirtualHost> section of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf.
if this with httpd.conf is working it is a solutio still :0

mod_security2 cannot be disabled via .htaccess. It can only be done inside of the VirtualHost of httpd.conf
And that is good news for all Hosters.
Imagine the problems from Clients turning off Server-wide Security that is supposed to protect all Client accounts.
