mod_status and /server-status

Im trying to access apache stats through localhost/server-status from an internal script or from hostname/server-status, but not having any luck. Does something need to be done to get this to work on a cpanel server? I know mod_status is enabled and i saw an entry for it in httpd.conf. What am I missing?
