Modify /var/cpanel/users/username

Modify /var/cpanel/users/username

I have a php script running on cpanel but can not open these files for writting

Any ideas?

You must run your scripts under the WHM port, not under the cpanel port.

WHM = root
cpanel = regular user

Regular users do not have permissions to modify these files.
