Default Moved from USB backup to FTP backup, now getting high load.

I use to run backups to a USB drive on our server. However, it was causing problems so we've been supplied with an FTP backup.

I use to get probably 1 high load message notice on the backup log during the night. However, using FTP backups load warnings popup during the "copying homedir" process.

Why does this happen on FTP backups but not on local drive backups?

    Any way to allievate this?

    Can you be more specific?
