Moving mail to a cPanel server

Hello, I have a mail account with e-mails dating from 2006 on a mailserver that does not utilize a control panel, just a normal pop3/imap dovecot server.

How can I move the mail to a cPanel account? Are there any tools available?

Well, cPanel may not support the format the emails are in on the remote server. However, if you have root access to both the servers, you can copy the emails straight away using rsync from the old server to /home/username/mail/domain.tld/emailID/cur/ folder.
