Default MSSQL 2005 Express access from CentOS

    Hi All,

I have been stumped on this for 2 days now, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trien to remotely connect to Windows srv 2003-mssql 2005 express server from a "WHM 11.23.2 cPanel 11.23.6-S27698
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.7 i686 on standard - WHM X v3.1.0 " system.

Doing some searchin on the web i've found information regarding Freetds (www.freetds.org). Therefore, I went ahead and installed it on the cpanel server. Followed up by recompiling apache and php with freetds mssql support.

Now for the problem....connection is refused: Error = mssql_connect()[function.mssql-connect] Unable to connect to the server *.*.*.*, port#. I have varified that the mssql_connection is actually there and also tested the user and pw from a different machine and connected remotely just fine.

    here is my freetds info:
    # ./tsql -C
Compile-time settings (established with the "configure" script)
    Version: freetds v0.82
    freetds.conf directory: /usr/local/freetds/etc
    MS db-lib source compatibility: yes
    Sybase binary compatibility: no
    Thread safety: yes
    iconv library: yes
    TDS version: 8.0
    iODBC: no

    Any Input is welcome =D

    thanks
