    Default .my.cnf

    My current .my.cnf is:

    Code:
    [mysql]
[client]
user="root"
host="10.x.x.x"
pass="password"
    Can I remove the quotes? Whenever cPanel updates it reads the quotes as part of the field and screws things up!

    You can remove the quotes, and then restart MySQL.

    Which version of cPanel? It's not supposed to be breaking on quotes.

    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R10737

    Horde breaks all the time and I've got fed up of editing the config file every time to remove the quotes so that it works! (It is currently broken at the moment, I just checked)

    There are a few other things that are an absolutely nightmare using remote MySQL as well but I gave up on them long ago, can't even remember what it was now
