Unfortunately that did not correct the problems
I have accidently corrupted my phpmyadmin when trying to upgrade it after installing mysql5.
How do I install phpmyadmin latest version?
Also, mysql is not creating usernames in cpanel.
For the username problem have you tried reinstalling the latest perl build from http://layer2.cpanel.net?
I haven't done that, but how would I do this? Please provide what commands needed to run. I normally don't do this. Will this affect mysql 5?
Reinstall/update perl to 587:
wget http://layer2.cpanel.net/perl587installer.tar.gz
tar zxf perl587installer.tar.gz
cd perl587installer
./install
unfortunately that did not correct the problems
I really would like this fixed, please help
What version of phpmyadmin are you trying to run ?
Just installed edge on a test box with dual core opteron and 64 bit OS CentOS4.3
upgraded this to mysql 4.1.18 (not your mysql5) reinstalled perl5.8.7 and had to run
/scripts/mysqlup --force
and after that
/scripts/upcp -- force
for it to take effect , and phpmyadmin2.802 is running fine now (it didnt before the upcp --force)
BTW : the new features of edge look realy promising![]()
Latest stable of v5 and phpmyadmin. I accidently messed up phpmyadmin but I also need to correct v5 not creating mysql user accounts, then reinstall phpmyadmin
For sake of doing it, I tried /scripts/mysqlup --force and it did nothing, just return (carriage return). Not sure why.
I would rather fix the mysql v5 issue and reinstall phpmyadmin.
Any help here would be great
cant help you there as am not brave enough to run mysql5 yet![]()
hopefully somebody else will come up with some more suggestions for you![]()
Ok, /scripts/upcp --force fixed phpmyadmin
One more to go
Still cannot create mysql users.
On a side note, when attempting to reset mysql root password I get this:

A forced reset will now be attempted.
