mysql failed - i change size of /tmp /var/tmp use this command

mysql 4.0.27


mysql service failed
- /usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)' Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' exists! mysql has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "mysql has failed").

postgressql failed
- postgresql has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "postmaster is not running"). May 13 14:41:22 rack postgresql: failed May 13 14:41:23 rack postgresql: Starting postgresql service: failed

i try restart service mysql and postgressql




cd /dev
dd if=/dev/zero of=tmpfile bs=1024 count=102400
/sbin/mke2fs /dev/tmpfile
mount -o loop,noexec,nosuid,rw /dev/tmpfile /tmp
mount -o loop,noexec,nosuid,rw /dev/tmpfile /var/tmp

NOW /tmp and /var/tmp size=99 MB but i want space more

but /tmp and /var/tmp failed cannot create directory (Error Message : No space left on device)

how to fixed it

i must change size to more because i use eAccelerator it use /tmp 63 %

and i use /scripts/fixmysql AND /scripts/fixeverything
