    Default mysql port 3306

    Hi,

Is it necessary to block port 3306 in CSF, is it open by default and what will be the ideal condition ie should be blocked or can keep it open, if blocked what will be the impact on mysql connections.

If you are not allowing users to connect remotely to MySQL then its safe to disable MySQL port in firewall. This way only the scripts that are on the same server will be able to access MySQL.
