    Default MySQL Sleep Problem!!!

On a few of my users sites message boards are creating Sleep Command in my MySQL Process list multiple times, making thier message boards extremely slow and keeps logging out thier users.

I have actually searched and they said to try to turn persistent connections off, I did this and restarted the server. The problem is still happening.

Does anyoen have any other solution, I really need help with this one.

Sleep commands will not make the server slow.

It's not making teh site slow, the boards on teh site however is slow (the issusing db), but other site's db are fine. Just happens to the users's db who's mysql process list are repeating the command "Sleep" multiple times.

    For example:

    +------+-----------+-----------+-----------------+---------+------+-------+------------------+
    | Id | User | Host | db | Command | Time | State | Info |
    +------+-----------+-----------+-----------------+---------+------+-------+------------------+
    | 345 | eximstats | localhost | eximstats | Sleep | 1042 | | |
    | 9482 | gamefaq2 | localhost | gamefaq2_boards | Sleep | 1 | | |
    | 9483 | gamefaq2 | localhost | gamefaq2_boards | Sleep | 9 | | |
    | 9489 | gamefaq2 | localhost | gamefaq2_boards | Sleep | 15 | | |
    | 9497 | gamefaq2 | localhost | gamefaq2_boards | Sleep | 3 | | |
    | 9503 | gamefaq2 | localhost | gamefaq2_boards | Sleep | 25 | | |
    | 9506 | gamefaqs | localhost | gamefaqs_SQL | Sleep | 13 | | |
    | 9513 | root | localhost | | Query | 0 | | show processlist |
    +------+-----------+-----------+-----------------+---------+------+-------+------------------+

(And when it takes 45 seconds for the boards to load any page, I consider that slow, so obviosly there is a problem. Now I'm trying to find out where. It's not only happening to me, but to everyone on those boards).

Well I dont' think it's really the command itself causing the problem. I bilieve it's more of bieng initated and taking a long time to terminate (it does eventally going away). Though te command itself just keeps coming and fluctuates.
