Default named fails with strange email message.

We keep getting these, approx. once per day, from just one of our cPanel servers:
    ------------------------------------
nameserver failed @ Tue Jan 20 23:59:28 2009. A restart was attempted automagically.
    Service Check Method: [check command]

Cmd Service Check Raw Output: Fixed ownership on /etc/named.conf
    Fixed ownership on /etc/rndc.key
    Fixed ownership on /etc/rndc.
    ------------------------------------

I thought the "Fixed ownership" part is pretty unusual, have not seen this one before. Anything I should do, or look for here?

    Thanks as always.

I am seeing this message recently on some servers. Is this part of a cPanel update? From the log time stamp I see it had happened after a cPanel update.

I never received a response, so I really do not know. But in any case, I have not noticed these messages recently.

I got three of them this month. So i asked my provider support and they said it is due to Cpanel updates. They fix themselves so no worry, just an annoying email

There is update from bind with very important bug fixes.
The Linux distro's (redhat, centos, fedora ...) and FreeBSD have updated the Bind yesterday. Cpanel updates there software and the distro's every night. You can configure this in WHM. This is why you are getting messages about named failure after Cpanel update
