That's exactly the case! It shows me localhost.localdomain.
Excuse me but I don't understand what "DC" is?

May I ask a silly question?

can I change this localhost.localdomain myself? because it's my computer... it don't understand how my hosting can interfere on my cpanel licence...

Or it is to cpanel to change this? because cPanel seems to have emitted the certificate... (expiration date of my licence)

If you mean change your server name, there should be no reason not to be allowed to. I think that's what the cpanel license is based on, but since WHM does have the option to change server name, I assume it would also update it with cpanel if required. My provider doesn't care if we change it as long as we let them know.

If you want to change all related files & directories, that is your choice -- it will not change the ndc error though and there are many changes that would need to be made.

A better example than the one I gave before is a Shared SSL Certificate. Although an SSL is provided to only one Domain name, it can be shared amongst others -- as long as they don't mind someone else's Domain name showing in the Certificate and not theirs.

It is the same principle here.

I'm not sure of the legalities here and what, if any, arrangement has been made between a DC and DarkOrb. If there is an arrangement that is agreed upon, then the Server Admin would have to contact their DC and see about getting a Cpanel license using the correct Hostname and not, localhost.localdomain.

I'm so sorry, I am the data center
If you change the hostname, all you have to do is to replace the certificate with "Reset cPanel/WHM Certificate" and that's good!

You could give that a shot, you got nothing to loose, just dont set it up incorrectly.

    Exclamation Someone help!

I am running WHMCS automation software and it inadvertantly messed up whole server due to a setting. I didnt realize it but I had auto account termination enabled and I had imported my main domain in for testing. Overnight for some reason it terminated the account, the one my WHM and all was set on

I dont even know where to begin at this point
I recreated user and that is all I have figured out to do.
I need to recreate the whole thing and set permissions all in shell since cant access WHM
Anyone know how to recreate the account that server was setup on in shell;?
All other accounts are still there and I can still login via SSH but that is it, no WHM

    Default Use root WHM

    hi,
if you have root access your Root WHM should work fine from http://IP/WHM/
i don't think root WHM would have been affected with this termination.
