need help with ftp, please read
I understand that when you create an extra ftp account & subdomain, it will be something like:
1) located: /home/mothership/public_html/newsub 2) username: newsub@mothership.com | pass: blahblah 3) URL:http://newsub.mothership.com Is it possible to change 1) to /home/mothership/public_html/subgoeshere/newsub [I have root to the server]? I'm going to setup around 40-50 subaccounts and I don't want them to clutter on my main /public_html. I want all subfolders to be under /public_html/subgoeshere/ Is there a file I can manually edit for this? thanks, |

If you add additional FTP account cpanel asks you a folder for this account. You can enter /home/mothership/public_html/newsub/newsub
or /home/mothership/public_html/newsub/newsub/newsub or anything else. If you want to change folder for subdomain you need to edit http.conf file (Apache config). Just look for virtual host for this subdomain and change DocumentRoot to folder you want. |
