    Default need space on /usr & /var

i'm trying to either add a new account or edit an existing one and recieve this error message: "The /usr, /, or /var partition on this server is running out of disk space. This WHM operation has been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition."

Now i'm fairly sure it's the log files.. Question is how do I get rid of this problem and clear up some space?

what can be deleted? is there a log rotaion script that i'm not seeing?
or what solution is there to prevent this in the first place?

any help you can provide will help.. as we can't do anything right now with our boxes..

    edited..
PS - I saw the thread about the temp files and they were removed about a week ago.. I'm fairly sure it's the logs...

    Default Home Directory:
Enter the location where you desire to have new user's home directories created. By default, it will select the disk or partition with the least usage.

where is it you have WHM set to place the accounts

nothing is wrong in the /home partition.. it's only at 46% usage... it's the /usr and /var partitions that keep filling up.. mostly the /usr (logs i suspect) i just need a way to clear them every week or so.. but not damage files that HAVE to be in there..

It's probably the /var/cpanel/bandwidth directory - with the change in how cpanel calculates bandwidth that directory is almost 200MB in size now -- I had to move it to another partition on some machines.

Yes these are logs eating up all your space. These may be located in apache/domlogs

del these files freely and your space will be free.

Or you can hire me as an admin to do these things on your boxes ;-). I am doing these jobs for a long time now.
