ah cool,
Thanks![]()
hopefully the version that works will get to release soon.
It's a little strange that the only working version is edge right now.
I have a support ticket in for this poblem and if I get a resolution I will post it hereHopefully I will get something today as all of my clients are very very upset that they cannot get email.
Whats the status on this issue? Anyone ever get a fix?
not yet I am waiting for a support guy to email me back. Everyone still having the mail issue?
Also I can log in and read mail for all of the accounts via horde mail from their cpanels is this the same for everyone?
We have 4 cpanel server and all are having the same permission issue problems. Along with IP/DNS routing issues. We did correct the Quota issue, this weekend.
Stable Release --
- Permission Changing Issue
- IP routing issue for client NS
- Miail Exim prblems
- Quota problems
hmm.. sounds like some one didnt do the testing like they were suppose to before they released the software.
We have noticed a larger scale issue...
IP address mapping issues, such as you have a dedicate IP on the server for your account, someone else signs up wanting an IP, WHM will assign the new account the IP of your account to the new account... this is not just a little bug, more along the lines of a major issue that no one is trying to fix.

it seems almost easier to revert back to the previous release or re-install all together with as many problems as this "Stable" release has.
Ok I fixed my mail problem.. but I am not sure if it will fix everyone else's.
Run the Rebuild/Fix Mail Dbs/Boxes under you Email section in WHM. It should fix the permission problems. if not then run the following commands
cd /home/accountname/mail
chmod 760 */*
cd /home/accountname/mail/domainname
chmod 760 */*
Then run the Rebuild/Fix Mail Dbs/Boxes under you Email section in WHM. This will fix the additional file perms to 660 and your done with that.
Then restart both cppop and exim. This should enable you and your customers to pop thier email. It worked for meIf anyone needs any additional help email me at wforester@tsct.org and I will be glad to help.
The latest edge version didn't fix the permissions problems for me..... any ideas?Originally posted by DWHS.net

Me either - Come on support it's about time you get on this one. Why do I need C-Panel if I can't do these types of things? I may as well go down the command line dirt road.
I am not at all impressed with the red alert coaxing me to install this disaster and I'm completely underwhelmed by the lack of a resolution or even a peep from support. I have combed this forum for some kind of official response over the last two days - nada. Where are you guys? Is this GPL support?
Hello McFly!!! I'm paying for this rubbish?

No kiddingAll Around SOB![]()
Just kidding,
I think it's safe to say this option should be working. Although your right there are ways to get around it for the time being.
I think it would be nice to hear something productive about the minor situation but if not no ones going to lose a leg over it.![]()
