NetPBM - Installation

Hi there !

I am new to Netpbm. Can anyone explain me how to install Netpbm (step by step) procedure [starting from database creation, downloading, changing permission etc] ? I went to the site, but i am confused and i don't know how to start with.I searched google as well, but not clear.

What is the difference between Netpbm and phpbb ? Is it a forum ?

This information may not be of much assistance to you. There will be many others on this forum with more useful input.

However, my limited understanding of netpbm is that they are a set of binary files which may be called upon, by a program on your server, to perform a specific function or task.

They are not a program.

As far as I know, they can also be called from wherever they are located on the server, however I'm sure that there would be an appropriate place to install them.

That is the extent of my knowledge which comes from installing the "Gallery" program.

NetPBM is a graphics manipulation tool like GD or ImageMagick.

So, it'd be supposedly easy. No DB Needed to be setup.
I think only thing u need to do is run the scripts to compile, or install the RPM.
