    Default Network tools issue

    Hello,

I have found that in the cPanel, there is a option 'network tools' and it allows to trace route as well as it allows to veiw DNS lookup of a domain. But when I try to lookup then in maximum domains it reveals that host not found whereas in other DNS tools they give positive results. Moreover, on clicking on tracert route it take me to nothing.

Could you please help me out of it?

    Thanks,

    Nayanza B.

You need to check a few things. 1st would be your resolver config and the second your firewall and security implementations. Some setups are made to prevent lookups from the server.

The traceroute function has never worked for me, but I honestly do not think it matters a whole lot.

    Regards,
