New accounts auto assign to random ip

if I create a new account on the server and leave the IP setting as auto assign and leave IP unchecked the account gets assigned to an IP OTHER than the default IP

I have to go in and change every one.

I have looked in the settings and the correct IP is set under "Main Shared Virtual Host IP"

Why is the server assigning one of the other IPs to new accounts ?

When you created your hosting packages, did you use the assign IP option?

I'm having the same problem.

My setup is as follows. I have a VPS, with my own clients, and my own reseller account (in order to specify which IP's my client's accounts should use), and two other resellers

On all three I have specified the IP addresses to use, as well as their own shared / IPless IP address, yet if I create an account, it will still take another IP address, starting at the end of the list.

Can someone please shed some light on this?
