    Default New ChangeLog System

Since we have three diffrent build types now, we've updated the changelog system to be less confusing as to what is the latest. You can view it at http://layer1.cpanel.net/ChangeLog

It also has rdf support .. see the attached jpg

Is there a way to see the changelog go back some amount of time?

IE Im running 9.1.0-S73 and I would like to know what revisions have happend between that release and the current current stable release of 9.1.0.-S93

I know by going to the link above that the 9.1.0.-S93 change log says.

"Make sure the linux x86 -STABLE release is updated to have
the dns (no such file or dir) fix."

But I dont want to have to install a new release just to know what was changed in the incrament releases between the current stable release and what ever version I was running prior.

Hmm, when trying to see the .rdf file through the browser It asks me to download it. Never hapened with another rdf/rss file. Also - Trillian Pro's RSS/RDF plugin doesn't seem to work with this rdf file

Oh ok. I Saw that but I am used to changelogs having the most recent entries at the top so when I saw it talking about version 5.X.X i didnt bother to scroll to the very bottom.

Will this new changelog be cummultive or will it only show the most recent releases and what was changed in them?

Can the WHM news get updated with changelog info? I mean I loginto our servers WHM multiple times a day just to verify things are running ok and the WHM news I find fairly useless since it almost never changes. But having an entry for what was changed in each release would make it much more functional.

    Nick,

Thank you - a proper changelog with the newer releases at the top Thank you for fixing one of the little annoyances I had.

What would be nice is if they offered a changelog for each type of release and then (like they do for bsd, etc) allowed you to press a button and only see changes relevant to the release type you are using.

I am assuming that every change up to the point of stable releases are including in each stable release but I do not know for sure. That would allow people using stable releases to see a complete list of changes between releases.

With the current changelog, how can we tell what the latest stable is ?

The purpose of the changelog is not to tell us what the latest version is. That function is served on http://layer2.cpanel.net/

    Thankyou Nick!

P.S Would still love to see the links in list accounts and email filters on the top. Stop making us scroll twice. Once to get to the bottom of the list because the account we are looking for is not on the first screen and again to actually scroll down to the desired account.

Same thing with the email filters. If I deploy 100 filters everytime I want to add another one or test one you make me scroll thru the list to get to the links buried on the bottom of the page. Good web design employs links/navigation on both the top and bottom of pages.
