It's best that all or none do it.

It's the clients responsibilty not yours. If they fail to have virus protection that's their own fault. The virus scanner is not going to catch all virus's and then what your screwed.

    1) On the Add-On Domain front, how about getting it to properly handle them when moving an account from one server to another. I had a ticket on this open but it was about a year ago and I've already purged email from that long ago!

    2) Fix the open_basedir/SSL bug I report last October (#28219). I was told this was fixed but it still is not.

    3) A postkillwwwacct script possibility similar to postwwwacct. Refer to open ticket #32052.

    I totally disagree.

It should be the choice of the customer. I for one don't want my email rejected as to what it thinks may or may not be spam. I would rather receive all the email and then work out what I want and what I don't.

I'm not a idiot who thinks that a screensaver that a friend who I've never heard of before would be a great thing to install.

I am happy to say in my, oh, eight or so years on the Internet I am yet to be stupid enough to open a virus.

I frequently get security patches for my software, and I have firewall and anti-virus software running at all times.

If I were to receive a virus I certainly would not be running to my host - why would it be their problem? They didn't make it (well, I would hope not anyway).

Sure, enable it by default, but I would like a choice as to if the mail server should delete my email without me looking at it.

Oh, and I know of no cases in which a user has sued their host because they got a virus?

You're not an average joe. People do email support and say "Your server is sending me viruses!" or "Your server is *infected* with viruses". This would be useful for those folks.

But this is way off topic. What features would you like to see in cpanel?

Exactly. So why should I be subjected to the same restrictions as the "average joe"?

All the "average joe's" can have their virus protection whilst us "power users" are able to disable it.

As I said, make it enabled by default for all users, but we should be able to disable it if we feel we don't need it.

But your right, getting off topic...

Security would be the main selling feature for me. I'd like to see cPanel as secure or more secure than the current/new Ensim release.

I'd liked to see full chroot impelemented.

I'd like to have apache and php running under individual account user ID's for each account to improve security while maintaining full flexibility for hosting clients.

I would also like to see per account virus and spam filtering options including the ability to enable or disable specific blacklist use and spam sensitivity on a per account basis.

More goodies that can be added to the list:

    1. ability to modify the name of packages from the cPanel.
    2. ability to modify the name of features from the cPanel.
    3. Ability to add/remove SSL suport per website - I now
have my httpd.conf configured manually such that any users who doesn't pay, doesn't get

    https://secure.mydomain.com/~clientname/whatever

You pay.. you get this added. You don't pay.. you don't.
This is good for maintining low loads on CPU from users who are just accessing the https for no real reason.

    4. php.ini Safe-Mode enable/disable per site.

Yes, you can do this manually,. .but aren't we talking about
    enhancements to cPanel?

    5. work the security issue with IMAP. - a ticket was submitted and is being checked. Will post the ticket later if the issue isn't resolved soon.

    6. I still don't know what is the diff between x and x2 themes.

    7. Fix the Apache Update page. Why would I see version 4.3.1 , 4.3.2 and 4.3.4?? who would use the older version? why?? If you are already in the Update page,. wouldn't it make sense to upgrade to the latest and greatest??
Also the title of the include for the PHP is confusing - has version 4.3.3 in parenthesis and then below it there are several version numbers. very confusing.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Arrow Editing the /etc/valiases/domain.net

I notice that everytime i edit the /etc/valiases/domain.net file to add a line like
    *: "|/some/file.pl"

cPanel auto overwrites that , some of us need to have a catchall goto the default mail id + a program..

    Do fix that
