Hi guys if you can help out that would be great

i'm installing a fresh new copy of fedoracor 4 to run cpanel ? i'm using a SATA 80 Gb HDD i'm not doing a partition installing stright on the SATA Driveits asking me to chage a cody of things

/boot 35 Megabytes (Mb)

/usr 4096+ Mb (If you have a 60 gig drive try 6144 for /usr, 8192 if you have an 80 gig drive, etc.)

/var 1500+ Mb

/tmp 512+ Mb

/ 1024 Mb

/home grow to fill disk

swap 2x memory size


/boot 35 Megabytes (mb)

since i'm using a SATA drive on an intall 3.2 P4
/user, 8192 witch is for an 80 GB

/ 1500+ MB

/home grow to fill disk

swap 2x memory not what they mean by that because i'm only using a 512 ddr Ram

can someone help us out if i'm right

This is what i will do if i were you:

/boot - 50 mb
/home - grow to full disk
/swap - 1024 mb
/usr - disk_size/10
/var - 1500 mb
/tmp - 500 mb
/ - 1500 mb

Offcourse if a second person comes in he/she can find a different partition scheme with arguments that he/she has the "best one". There is no such thing. You have to think what you need.

I had the chance to go over a couple of details this weekend by doing a google
search on fedoracore 4 found the information i wanted, however creating a partion on the
Disk Druid is a little difficult witch i cant under stand....

Add Partition
ext3
Mount Point /boot
Size 50

ext3
/home grow to full disk (not sure what they mean by that all how to put it in the oloum area).

ext3
/swap
size 1024 MB

/user disk_size/10 (same again not sure on what you mean by that)... will not add

ex3
/var
size 1500

ext3
/tmp
size 500

ext3
/ - 1500 thats is also asking to a partion scheme what do they mean by that
