    Default New kernerl version kernel-2.4.20-13.7

Has anyone upgraded to the latest kernel-2.4.20-13.7 ? If I am not wrong the last upgrade of kernel had some server load issues. Just need comment from other users.

    Thank you,
    Mitul

Those on the 2.4.20-13.7 kernel, are your quotas still working properly (inparticular the 'space used' still in real time)?

All servers I've upgraded to this kernel have had to have fixquotas put in a cron to keep the quotas up to date when it should be in real time.

We had the quota problem on our two servers. The space used by those clients was not shown in the WHM panel and one of our client could not check his mails or ftp to the server.

After executing the fixquotas scripts everything working fine uptill now.

    Thank you,
I am running it on three servers with no problem. I had to run fixquotas after each upgrade.

    As to server loads:

After upgrade, my server loads during nightly backups were cut in half and the whole of upcp has run in half the time that it used to. I am very pleased.

Less than a week ago I noticed using MRTG ..by nightly backups were done in 50% of the time and lower loads as well. Trick about my deal is I didn't upgrade my Kernels yet. This was just a few days ago I noticed this.

I also note that the cpbackup script has been worked on recently.

I haven't had any issues with it. I upgraded a week or two ago.

Thanks for the info! How often do these things come out, anyway?
