newbie: purchased license but have no instruction on how to install c-panel

Dear All;

I am totally new in c-panel. I just purchase a cpanel license but have no further installation procedure on how to install the c-panel.

What I did is just run the layer 1 script and everything get installed... when I point to my server:2086, the htaccess comes up and ask me for username/password.

Do I have to get that username and password from c-panel.net?
where did the license go after purchasing? Didn't they have to issue me some numbers or code for me to put in the c panel?
Or they should have give me a link for me to download my purchased cpanel?

I am sorry that I may make you guys confused but I definitly need some help from anyone.

no need to worry about cpanel license just you have done is correct.

***its the username and pass you origianlly had as root
before installing cpanel.

I don't really get you...

I have never set the username and password for the c-panel.
so what should the username and password be?

i mean you will have root password for your linux box before

install cpanel am i correct ?


so your user name : root

password : your linux box root password
