    Default No --with-curl-ssl bug???

I just cannot get easyapache to install curl with SSL support.

It will install curl, but if I select "curl with SSL" I get no curl.

I've tried lots of permutations including selecting both "curl" and "curl with ssl".
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have run out of ideas....

Same thing.. tried to eayapache and curl will not install
    IN FACT

not a damn thing changes w the easyapache it runs thru and didn't change a thing..

Had to recompile by hand and now that curl is installed, easyapache still doesn't have it selected.
    Thanks,
    Esr Tek

easyapache only seems to have a base install checked. It won't pickup that you've already added stuff - it's a start from scratch kinda thing.

Maybe I'll just have to compile by hand...
    I've never done that before.
Second thoughts I'll file a bug complaint and wait for it to be fixed!

It was my mistake, you select curl and curl-ssl. It works fine. So does most everyhting else, in fact.

"a lot of things don't work" .. based on what? Everything works for me. It's your configuration and knowhow apparently.

Complaining like that sure doesn't help here. Remember, this is drawing on a lot of _open source_ packages, and it's a juggling game to get a-z to work together. Give them credit. For many people it does work just fine and is a great product.

Would you say many things don't work in Win98 or Linux yet many people use it? Same idea there man. Grow up.

I ran easyapache option 6 selecting curl, curl ssl & mcrypt, the result was no mysql and seg faults on viewing php/mysql pages which gave the error "doc contained no data" (mysql did start, had processes and to all intent looked like it was ok)

I then ran easyapache option 1, mysql was back to normal, but had uninstalled curl, curl ssl & mcrypt

I tried again with option 6 and choosing curl and curl ssl only, didn't install

I then tried option 3 (mcrypt) and it installed ok and some of the autopilot errors were fixed

so I tried curl & ssl again and it appears to have uninstalled mcrypt as well as not installing curl & ssl (

should I be compiling something else beforehand? like phpsuexec (the only 1 not checked in page 1 of option 6) or another module from page 2 perhaps?

is there any other way of installing these 3 modules?
if so, where do I get them or what file to edit?

    thanks

So we're gonna jump on people for criticizing software with problems? I guess you never have any issues with Cpanel. Must be that you don't use it as much as the rest of us, because since the 7 upgrade, there have been literally about 20 MAJOR flaws in things.

    Autoresponders broken.

    Cpanel Crashing.

Buildapache not working, not building PHP.

    Advanced Guestbook broken.

Exim being screwed for about a week after upgrading to 4.

Machines mysteriously changing from 'STABLE' version to 'RELEASE' version against the admin's will.

Mailman creating huge processes. That, after it was broken for a couple days.

    And more...

Don't get me wrong, I love Cpanel and I think it's a great product. But you can sell your line about it being the admin's fault that Cpanel breaks to the freakin tourists, cuz I sure as hell ain't buying it.
