Default No Zend support for php 5.2, and still with application/x-httpd-php errors aftr upgrd

Has cPanel not pushed the upgrade/support for Zend, so that it will support PHP 5.2.0?

I noticed when I checked /usr/local/Zend/lib/Optimizer-3.0.1, that there was no /php-5.2.x directory.

Is this cPanel's lagging behind, again, or has Zend dropped the ball?

ALSO, after upgrading to 5.2.0, I'm still getting application/x-httpd-php errors, and all browsers are attempting to download php files. I've checked all of the threads I've found here, making sure the appropriate handlers are in the .conf file, etc... Unfortunately, nothing has worked. I was hoping upgrading from 5.1.2 to 5.2.0 would fix it.

It looks like nothing will fix it short of dropping back to 4.x.x. Any suggestions on this would be VERY much appreciated.

Looks like Zend released a new version 3.0.2. Is this available by running /scripts/installzendopt ?

    Jon,

Doesn't appear to be, yet. I just tried it, and it started downloading 3.0.1.

Have to wait until cPanel gets on the ball. =)

    Jon...

The current install script does not install the 3.0.2 version of Zend. However, you can edit the install script. Find the $ver variable, and change it to 3.0.2. Then run the script, and it will download and run the Zend 3.0.2 installer.

Unfortunately, the 3.0.2 version does not support PHP 5.2.x. I looked around the Zend forums, and it appears that Zend typically runs a few weeks behind PHP. It appears we can expect a 5.2.x compatible Zend in about three to four weeks. Needless to say, I'm downgrading, and playing around to see if I can't lock out the vulnerable functions until then.

That'll work better for me anyway, as I still haven't fixed the application/x-httpd-php problems under PHP 5.2.0.

This might be a little off topic here, but is there a problem with running Zend optimizer and xcache http://trac.lighttpd.net/xcache/ together? Is there a cp script that installs xcache for you?
