Recently upgraded to php5 / apache 2 and "/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL" now sits high constantly when I do a top in SSH. Is this normal?
Recently upgraded to php5 / apache 2 and "/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL" now sits high constantly when I do a top in SSH. Is this normal?
I seem to have a lot of these processes running and using up considerable CPU.
Can anyone confirm for me if that is normal?

It's normal if apache is under heavy load.

Thanks for the reply. Seems to be happening even during very light load times with only a few users connected.
