Old RPMs?

I used the RPM install feature of WHM to install Subversion earlier, but when I went to use SVN it told me the version of SVN was too old to work with the existing software that I was trying to update.

I used yum at the command line to find out what SVN version it was, 1.1.4. The current version is 1.4.3, so this seems a little behind.

The server is CentOS 4.4. I don't know if this is like the current version for CentOS 4, but it seems a little old?

Can anyone advise me on how to update it easily? Will downloading a newer RPM and upgrading manually hurt anything?

that is the current version for centos 4

you can go to http://rpmfind.net and see if you can find a newer build for your distro

Forgive my ignorance, but CentOS 4 = RHEL 4?

yes RHEL 4 = CentOS 4 and you can get away with some Fedora RPM's
