    Default One User Can't receive mail

    We have one account on the server that can not receive mail, but the users can send mail. Disk quotas look ok.

    Here is a snippet from /var/log/exim_mainlog that occurs once the test message has been sent to an address on the user account that can't recv mail:

    (spaces added for readability)

    2006-04-05 02:06:14 SMTP connection from [**.**.**.**]:39009 I=[**.**.**.**]:25 (TCP/IP connection count = 2)

    2006-04-05 02:06:16 ident connection to **.**.**.** timed out

    2006-04-05 02:06:17 1FR19l-0002BP-64 <= testsender@gmail.com H=xproxy.gmail.com [**.**.**.**]:39009 I=[**.**.**.**]:25 P=esmtp S=2415 id=bs6f7e3060404s2306x1ads9bb084g8ad233e2df21f@mail.gmail.com T="Re: test" from <testsender@gmail.com> for customerwhocantrecvmail@customerdomain.com

    2006-04-05 02:06:17 cwd=/var/spool/exim 3 args: /usr/sbin/exim -Mc 1FR19l-0002BP-64

    2006-04-05 02:06:22 1FR19l-0002BP-64 <customerwhocantrecvmail@customerdomain.com>: virtual_sa_userdelivery transport output: Invalid operation mode S

    2006-04-05 02:06:22 1FR19l-0002BP-64 => eric <customerwhocantrecvmail@customerdomain.com> F=<testsender@gmail.com> P=<testsender@gmail.com> R=virtual_sa_user T=virtual_sa_userdelivery S=2695 QT=5s DT=5s

    2006-04-05 02:06:22 1FR19l-0002BP-64 Completed QT=5s
    I am concerned to the 3rd to last entry where it shows "invalid operation mode S" and then cuts off.

    Any ideas

    Hi,

    Check for the entry for that domain in

    /etc/userdomains
    /etc/localdomains

    if you tehre is no entry then you need to make a entry for that domain.

    Thank you

    Ullalla.
