OpenVZ cPanel Template Main Virtual Host IP

We are facing a really bizarre problem. Every time we create a cPanel template, and use that template on a new VPS, the Main Virtual Host IP and the IP the cPanel accounts are created on goes to the originator of the template, NOT the VPS IP.

We did the following:

• Provisioned a VPS
• Logged in, installed cPanel
• Once the install finished, we immediately rebooted the VPS and created a template. We did NOT touch the initial setup or logged into WHM at all
• Created a new VPS with that template to find the VHost IP incorrect

I would appreciate any feedback and suggestions.

I believe that for all control panel and other software which require get/set ip address or hostname or any other settings inside VPS you need use your custom made scripts. For your case it could be:

1) Create VPS with template with cPanel
2) During VPS first boot set (using your custom made scripts) main ip for cPanel, hostname etc.
3) Script must delete itself when all required setting already set.
