    Default Overselling Feature

    I see that on the reseller center you can limit the account by the resources available to the reseller.

    I.e. you can set a limit on space and bandwidth

    Well when they create accounts the maximum number they can create is determined by the total that they allocate to each package.

    I.e. if they had 2GB space and 20GB transfer, they could only create 20 accounts with 1GB transfer each, regardless of whether those 20 accounts actually used a total of 1GB bandwidth.

    Now.. I don't want to get into the ethics of overselling, but its what many people request. Now if we could have resellers set up as many accounts as they want providing that the maximum resources they have doesn't physically go over their hard limits, that would be ideal.

    What would be good would to have the ability to set the option of whether overselling is allowed for that resold account or not. If it isn't, then it should work as it currently does, and if it is, then it should just work on the physical resources used rather than what is allocated.

    Does that make sense?

    I would really appreciate some feedback and other peoples opinions.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    I know what you mean but currently we would prefer it left as is.

    If this feature were to be added we would like to see the option of allowing overselling or not.

    Maybe a tick box in the reseller centre;

    [] force limits
    [] dont force (actual useage)
