Hi,

In the last 2 days, my server has become unnavailable at about 4am.

The engineer who restarted it for me said there was a kernel panic showing on the console.

I've checked var/log/messages and there doesnt seem to be anything specific.

From about 11pm theres a lot of ftp session open session closed messages which I think is normal - then nothing until this afternoon when the server was restarted.

The only error I can see is as follows...

: application bug: cpaneld(21815) has SIGCHLD set to SIG_IGN but calls wait().
Jan 30 23:49:56 server2 kernel: (see the NOTES section of 'man 2 wait'). Workaround activated.

But this was much earlier in the evening yesterday.

I'm still learning this stuff - is there anywhere else I should be looking ?
