    Default Parked domain emails disappear

I searched the forum, and still have this problem.

I have a domain vmgr.com. All is fine. I parked vmanager.com on top of vmgr.com. Everything resolves fine. mail.vmgr.com and mail.vmanager.com are the same, and I can browse correctly.

Problem is that all mail sent to userx@vmanager.com simply disappears. No bounce, and it never shows up. I know it is coming to the correct server, because I tried the following experiment: I forwarded one email account, say support@, to another external domain. Then I sent an email to support@vmanager.com, it was properly f0rwarded according to the account rules on the primary vmgr.com domain. So the server gets the email for the vmanager parked domain, but it seems to vanish into the ether.

The only other threads on this I found were mx record problems.

    Anyone?

    Thanks

Do you have a domain forwarder for email set up to forward mail from vmanager.com to vmgr.com? This is not automatically setup when you park a domain.

You can set this up by going to cPanel -> Mail -> Forwarders. Scroll to the bottom of the page that appears and click "Add Domain Forwarder" to set this up.

If you are on older versions of cPanel 11 or are not using the X3 theme, the procedure will be different.

Ahah. I thought when you park a domain the email transfer would be automatic; it follows logically that everything for domain X is translated to Y, that should include email. Maybe that could be an enhancement request, or at least an on-screen message about this.

    Thanks for the help!

This is done to permit x@domain1.com and x@domain2.com to be handled separately.
