Default Parked domains had subdomains, but no more.

    Hello everybody.

A customer of us complained a few days ago that his subdomains are not working as they did. Shortly, he had a parked domain and some subdomains enabled for the parked domain (!).

I.e: domain.com is his regular account. He got one parked domain, parked.com, and a few subdomains such as sub.parked.com

The parked domain did not work after someone disabled his "parked" capabilities, giving him 1 parked from 0 allowed. Having that changed back, now parked.com is loading fine but his subdomains (sub.parked.com, sub1.parked.com) are not working anymore.

When trying to add newsub.parked.com from domain.com CPanel's account, an error is appearing, although domain exist in /etc/userdomains and httpd.conf :

    SubDomain Creation
-We were unable to locate your current domain name, parked.com
in ---the webserver configuration! The subdomain cannot be added because
----information about your domain could not be obtained from the
    webserver configuration file.
So, basically, can a parked domain have subdomains? If not, why did sub.parked.com worked before? If yes, why are they NOT working now?

    TIA.

    Hello,

Did u check the /var/cpanel/users/<user specific file>?. It seems that the park domain entry is missing there. Please have a look at that file and let me know the status

Today my customers had this problem.
It was solved by upgrading cpanel to the stable version.

We've had a customer get an error message:

    SubDomain Creation
We were unable to locate your current domain name, xxxxxxxx in the webserver configuration! The subdomain cannot be added because information about your domain could not be obtained from the webserver configuration file.

when trying to create a subdomain on a Parked domain. The domain name (xxxxx) is listed in /var/cpanel/users/username and in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

    WHM 10.1.0 cPanel 10.2.0-E192
    RedHat Enterprise 3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

I'm just seeing if "upgrading" will fix this.

Works ok on WHM 10.1.0 cPanel 10.2.0-R82 (same server, same user account, same parked domain, same subdomain).

    (added to bugzilla: http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=2774 )
