Thumbs up RESOLVED - Parking domains with remote & local DNS

    Hi,

My Cpanel server is DNS clustered with another server i have. I have set the servers name servers to include itself and the remote name server.

However, when users try to park or add a domain to the server it throws and error saying that one of the IPs does not look like ours and could not park the domain.

It does offer to have the admin add the remote IP to the /etc/ips.remotedns file. But that just makes more work for me. I want users to have redundant DNS and be able to park their own domains without me editing /etc/ips.remotedns.

Any comments or direction would be appreciated.

    WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-R17665 WHM X v3.1.0

    Sincerely,
    Mike

    Default

    Hi,

    I found my answer:

Set the option "Allow Creation of Parked/Addon Domains that resolve to other servers" in WHM -> Tweak Settings. However, I guess there are security issues to consider when doing this.
