Hi,
I'm trying to use the "Password Protect Directory" feature through Cpanel but am running into issues.
We have subdirectories setup under public_html and we need to have a specific username/password to access each folder.
For example
/public_html/test123
Username: testing
Password: test123
Other folders under public_html would have seperate usernames/passwords.
I already created a subdirectory under public_html called test123 but when I try to access the "Password Protect Directories" feature and go to the public_html directory, I don't see any subdirectories. The only option I have is to password protect the whole public_html directory
One thing I found was that by looking at the link
https://$servername:2083/frontend/x/htaccess/index.html?dir=/home/$username/public_html
is that I can add the test123 directory at the end and it lets me in
https://$servername:2083/frontend/x/htaccess/index.html?dir=/home/$username/public_html/test123/
Just wondering why this doesn't show up by default?
We're running
WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.8.0-C15669
Thanks,
KeithC
