Password Protect Directories... Question

I wanted to protect some directories in my webserver so the public cant see or access it. So I tried the "Password Protect Directories" in cPanel which is a really good tool, but I was wondering if there was a way to change it so only certain ip's can enter in there? Cuz I dont want people giving access to their friends...

or... is there a way to make it so it logs ip's when someone logs in with their user/pass??
