perl 5.8.8 broken?

Installed with perl588installer.tar.gz
tar xfvz perl588installer.tar.gz
cd perl588installer
./install
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkperlmodules
/scripts/realperlinstaller YAML::Syck

# perl -V
Can't locate Config.pm in @INC (@INC contains: no/x86_64-linux no /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl .).
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted.

# perl -v
This is perl, v5.8.8 built for x86_64-linux

# which perl
/usr/local/bin/perl

Please HELP

Exec:

root@machine: locate -u (to index all files)
root@machine: locate Config.pm
If appear a file called Config.pm under any directory, anyway copy it, for example:
<-Output->
/home/cpin/installd/perlx.x.x/perlxxx/Config.pm

Copy Config.pm to missing file directory...
That maybe works....
