    Default Perl Thread support..

In cPanel, how do i remove my current perl and install perl with thread support? this is the error I get when I try to run my script:

This Perl hasn't been configured and built properly for the threads
module to work. (The 'useithreads' configuration option hasn't been used.)

Having threads support requires all of Perl and all of the XS modules in
the Perl installation to be rebuilt, it is not just a question of adding
the threads module. (In other words, threaded and non-threaded Perls
    are binary incompatible.)

If you want to the use the threads module, please contact the people
    who built your Perl.

    Cannot continue, aborting.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.1/i686-linux/threads.pm line 28.

    thanks in advance guys..

I also require theading support. Is there a quick and easy way to get it (RPM?) or do I need to manually compile perl?

Grab whichever perl installer archive from http://layer1.cpanel.net and install that. Make sure to run "/scripts/upcp --force" after the install to ensure cPanel has all the perl modules it needs as well as dependancies.

The cPanel installers build a non-threaded perl iirc.

Indeed, so you'll have to download them as haze said and modify the installer scripts.

If someone could provide any guide how to enable useithreads for cpanel, it would be just great.

I know there's been much demand for Threaded Perl support. I would recommended someone who can articulate the desire for this support better than I can (I'm not a Perl guy :/) submit a feature request to http://bugzilla.cpanel.net then post a link to it here.

So basically. Updating the cPanel installer and force updating the CP will not do it.

Installing ActivePerl then updating the CP will cause problems.

Hard to say. I would love a solution to this ;(
