I see cpanel is upto date with php upgrades but not perl updates?
About 60% of the sites on my server use perl and the latest version on cpanel.net is 5.6.1 when will 5.8 be available?

I am running 7.1.0E20 (RELEASE)
That as 5.8

WHM 7.1.0 cPanel 7.1.0-E18
and according to perl -v im using 5.6.1

Ok I just upgraded to
WHM 7.1.0 cPanel 7.1.0-R20
Still only have perl 5.6.1

And I have not updated it manualy ? Infact to do so would be suicide with Cpanel

Hum PERL is allways installed updated by Cpanel
Changing, Upgrading PERL to another version will kill Cpanel in most cases?
I dint take much notice of what PERL versionwas running when it had Cpanel 6 on though

So the perl version for cpanel is 5.6 if you're running RH 7.3? One can only get 5.8 if he runs RH 8 or 9? I'm just wondering, because I have RH 7.3 but would still like to have the latest perl version...
