    Cool Permanently Ban IP

How do I ban an IP permanently.

IPtables does not ban permanently, it removes the IP after the server reboots.

    Thanx

All the rules for IPTABLES are saved in /etc/sysconfig/iptables file. If you are using apf configuration file resides under /etc/apf.

    Actually IPTABLES does ban permanently!

Sounds like you haven't setup an /etc/sysconfig/iptables file

Without that file, your iptable settings are only stored in memory alone

I'd suggest going for CSF. It has nice GUI and you can block the ips using command line as well as WHM.
