    Default php 4.4.7 released

    I saw that php 4.4.7 is available at cpanel.

    Anyone is using and have some issues with it?

    4.4.7 is causing php files to download instead of display on some severs. Best version to use is 5.2.2

    If files are being downloaded instead of processed this is a missing Apache directive (AddHandler/AddType) NOT a problem with PHP itself.

    I would never recommend a PHP 4.4.x user upgrade to 5.x unless they are aware of all the major changes and have tested all of their applications. Upgrading without understand the changes can have disastrous results.

    Yes, I am. So far I'm not having any problems except PHP seems to segfault when I compile it with iconv support.

    Ive seen this problem before and recompiling apache fixed it. i always have to check everytime i recompile

    We are using PHP 4.4.7 on both 32bit and 64bit systems with no problem.
