Try to restart chkservd
on Fedora it will be on /etc/rc.d/init.d/chkservd
I tried, and of course that didn't helped. And I realy don't see how is that related to php version shown in cPanel.
make sure /usr/bin/php -v is showing the version correctly.
run this script and restart cpanel. Check the cpanel for php version
/scripts/findphpversion
Yes, that was showing correctly, problem is that cPanel keeps a php version somwhere else, and he lost it after instaling phpSuExec.
That was fixed with upcp on two servers that had the same problem.
