in WHM 'Module Installers' im trying to install PECL pdflib for php5, but it gives this output:

Any advice please on how to get pdflib enabled for PHP5? It is an option in EasyApache for PHP4 but not PHP5 ...

You need to install PDFLib before attempting to install the PHP bindings for it (i.e. the PECL pdflib package). See http://us.php.net/manual/en/pdf.setup.php and http://www.pdflib.com/products/pdflib-family/

is this still the case with that we have to manually compile PHP to include pdflib?
